Note: See below for all CSI Pacific and B.C. connected medallists at Paris 2024.

These figures reflect the continued strong performance of athletes connected to B.C. and affiliated with CSI Pacific across Paralympics and Olympics, and in both Summer and Winter Games.

Over the past three Paralympics, athletes associated with CSI Pacific have achieved the following results:

  • Beijing Paralympics: Made up 35% of Team Canada, won 56% of the medals
  • Tokyo Paralympics: Made up 23% of Team Canada, won 43% of the medals
  • Paris Paralympics: Made up 26% of Team Canada, won 41% of the medals

“On behalf of all British Columbians, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the incredible Paralympians who have represented B.C. and Canada with remarkable athleticism, determination and excellence at the Paris 2024 Paralympics,” said Lana Popham, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport. “B.C. athletes shone brightly under the global spotlight contributing to defining moments such as Parkville’s Nicholas Bennett scoring Team Canada’s first gold medal and representing the pride of our nation as one of the flag bearers at the closing ceremony. The performance of B.C. and Team Canada athletes proves what is possible in sport and will inspire generations to dream without limits.”

“What these athletes have accomplished here in Paris and throughout this last four-year cycle is truly inspiring,” said Wendy Pattenden, CEO of CSI Pacific. “The Paris Paralympics once again established Canada as a prominent force in international sport. We are privileged to work alongside these incredible athletes and their national sport organizations, helping them get ready to perform on the world’s biggest stage. By surpassing the medal count from Tokyo by nearly 40% and with the most gold medals since 2008, they showed exceptional preparation.”

The dedication and support from National and Provincial Sport Organizations (NSOs/PSOs) throughout British Columbia, alongside contributions from all levels of government and the leadership of viaSport, have been instrumental in helping B.C.-connected athletes reach their goals.

CSI Pacific also deployed two staff members to the Paris Paralympics to provide on-the-ground support to the athletes. They were:
