Looking to jailbreak iOS 18.4.1 on your iPhone or iPad? Here’s the latest status update so that you have everything that you need to know ahead of time.
You don’t need to be the world’s biggest jailbreaking expert to know that there has not been a public-facing jailbreak released for iPhone or iPad in many years now.
In fact, the last time a jailbreak was released for the latest iPhone and iOS version was back in 2019. That seems unlikely to change any time soon, and that’s bad news if you’re a fan of jailbreaking.
While there have been jailbreak tools like checkra1n getting updated from time to time, they only support devices like iPhone X and below, and since iPhone X doesn’t run the latest version of iOS, there really hasn’t been much to talk about in the jailbreak scene for a long time now.
And there are a number of reasons for this. The first is that Apple has borrowed many of the biggest features from jailbreak tweaks and added them as native features in iOS. Second is the fact that Apple and other companies are offering a lot of money to those devs who can find exploits in iOS, which could otherwise be used in public jailbreaks. This is one of the biggest reasons why there hasn’t been much incentive for devs to release free public jailbreaks in recent years.
As for how that all pans out for the iOS 18.4.1 jailbreak, the situation is as you might expect — there simply isn’t one. However, things can change at any moment, so we can’t say that there won’t be a jailbreak in the future.
In the meantime, we recommend updating your iOS device to version 18.4.1 as it includes new features and crucial security updates. As for jailbreaking, we advise you to remain patient and continue waiting for it. If there are any updates on this front, we will promptly report them. Stay tuned for further information on this topic.
