How much money did Indian ace pacers draw in IPL 2025 Mega Auction?

There was a fierce race among the teams to buy India’s ace pacers in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. While Jasprit Bumrah was retained by Mumbai Indians, the rest three including Shami, Siraj, and Arshdeep were released and found new homes in the Indian Premier League.

The three players saw multiple bidding wars amongst other teams before eventually, one emerged winner in buying the player. As India’s entire backline remains totally focused on the bowlers, it is of paramount importance that the ace pacers perform as per their caliber in the IPL.

Arshdeep Singh

Punjab Kings released Arshdeep Singh who was expected to be bought back using the Right to Match (RTM) option. Starting with a base price of 2 crores, teams fought hard before it was Sunrisers Hyderabad who got the winning bid. But Punjab Kings then went on to use the RTM option. SRH listed 18 crores, which PBKS happily matched and re-bought their ace speedster.

Arshdeep Singh is a vital player in India’s T20I setup. He created history in IPL 2025 by becoming the highest-priced Indian pacer. It is imperative that Arshdeep will slowly transcend into a three-format player very soon.

Mohammed Siraj

Royal Challengers Bengaluru shocked everyone when they didn’t retain Mohammed Siraj on IPL Retention Day. It was believed that his dipping performances could have been a reason for the same. But come the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, that was hardly the case.

Teams opted to spill the case to roped in the speedster and eventually, it was Gujarat Titans who bought the pacer for a price of 12.25 crores. And thus after a long journey with RCB, Siraj is now a Titan.

Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami was one of the top names that was sought in the IPL 2025 Auction. Gujarat Titans released him after missing out year of action for an ankle surgery. But now the ace speedster is back playing domestic cricket, gearing up to make a return to international cricket at the earliest.

Sunrisers Hyderabad initially, tried their best to rope in Arshdeep Singh. When that failed, they spent no time and bought Mohammed Shami for a price of 10 crores which perfectly worked in their favor. Their batting is set and Shami will now partner Pat Cummins to spearhead the pace attack.

Jasprit Bumrah

Mumbai Indians didn’t waste a single opportunity in letting Jasprit Bumrah be available in the IPL Auction. The ace pacer was retained by the side on IPL 2025 Retention Day for a price of 18 crores, along with the likes of Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakuamr Yadav.

As India’s premier pace bowling unit looks, it looks well established in their respective teams who will be eager to fight it out for the title.
