RCB Vs CSK: Bengaluru’s Legendary Victory In Chennai | IPL 2025

RCB Conquers CSK’s Fortress

RCB vs CSK as Royal Challengers Bengaluru made history by securing their first-ever victory at Chennai Super Kings’ home ground in 17 years. The electrifying Chepauk crowd was left stunned as CSK failed to defend their stronghold. However, they did witness a classic Mahendra Singh Dhoni cameo, as the legendary finisher played a spirited knock of 30* off 16 balls, including three boundaries and two towering sixes RCB vs CSK.

Dhoni walked in at No.9 with just 28 deliveries left in the innings, but the match had already slipped away from CSK’s grasp. The early collapse in the Powerplay, which saw CSK slump to 30/3, left them with too much ground to cover. Yash Dayal’s crucial double blow in the 13th over, dismissing Rachin Ravindra and Shivam Dube, put the final nail in the coffin as CSK fell short by 50 runs.

RCB vs CSK: RCB’s Seamers Set the Tone

Chasing 197, CSK needed a solid start, but Bengaluru’s pacers had other plans. Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar unleashed a lethal opening spell, dismantling CSK’s top order. Hazlewood struck twice in his first over, sending back Rahul Tripathi and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Bhuvneshwar followed up by dismissing Deepak Hooda in the fifth over, leaving CSK in a dire situation.

Later in the innings, Hazlewood returned to dismiss Ravindra Jadeja, using the sluggish pitch expertly to extract sharp bounce and movement. Making a comeback after an injury, the Australian quick showed remarkable control and precision, making life difficult for CSK’s batters.

RCB vs CSK: David’s Explosive Finish

Tim David provided the fireworks at the death, hammering three consecutive sixes off Sam Curran in the final over to propel RCB to 196/7. His late heroics ensured CSK faced an uphill battle in the chase.

Earlier, Rajat Patidar played a stabilizing knock with a composed half-century, while Phil Salt’s attacking intent set the tone. Salt was in prime form, taking on Ravichandran Ashwin early, smashing a six and two fours in quick succession. However, MS Dhoni’s lightning-quick stumping brought an end to Salt’s promising innings.

Kohli Leads from the Front

Virat Kohli, opening the innings, played cautiously as Salt took the aggressive route. Following Kohli’s dismissal, Patidar assumed responsibility, anchoring the innings with a measured 51 off 32 balls. He rode his luck early on but capitalized on his opportunities, ensuring RCB kept the scoreboard ticking in the middle overs.

RCB vs CSK Noor Shines Amidst the Gloom

Afghanistan’s rising star Noor Ahmad was the lone positive for CSK in an otherwise disappointing bowling performance. The left-arm spinner maintained his impressive form, claiming three wickets and solidifying his position as the Purple Cap holder with seven wickets in two matches. His sensational 4/18 against Mumbai Indians had already established him as a key figure in CSK’s campaign.

Despite Noor’s efforts, CSK’s batting woes meant that RCB walked away with a landmark win, shattering their 17-year drought at Chepauk in dominant fashion.
